Con el objetivo de acercar oportunidades de financiación para apoyar las iniciativas que se gestan en los grupos de trabajo de #UdeARespondeAlCovid19, la Dirección de Relaciones Internacionales y la Vicerrectoría de Investigación presenta estas convocatorias de financiación de diferentes entidades internacionales.

Objetivo: NIAID is issuing this Notice of Special Interest (NOSI) to highlight the need for research on Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) and Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19).

Líneas temáticas:

NIAID is particularly interested in projects focusing on viral natural history, pathogenicity, transmission, as well as projects developing medical countermeasures and suitable animal models for pre-clinical testing of vaccines and therapeutics against SARS-CoV-2/COVID-19.

Requisitos:

-The Research Strategy section of the application is limited to 6 pages.
-The award project period of the Competitive Revision must not exceed two years.
-Application budgets should not exceed the annual amount of the current parent award and should reflect the actual needs of the proposed project. Exceptions will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
-Recipients may apply for work that is related to your funded project, whether within the scope or outside of the scope of the current project, regardless of the time remaining on the current project. Grants currently in an extension are eligible to apply.

Objetivo: Proposals are invited for short-term projects addressing and mitigating the health, social, economic, cultural and environmental impacts of the COVID-19 outbreak in Low and Middle Income Countries

Líneas temáticas:

Epidemiological studies
Clinical characterization and management
Infection prevention and control including health care workers’ protection
Social Sciences in the Outbreak Response (access to health care services/vaccination etc) NOT socio-economic generally

Requisitos:

We strongly encourage applicants from LMIC countries to apply to and participate in this call. LMIC country Principal Investigators from an organisation that lead or have previously led and held UKRI grants and have undergone Je-S registration and due diligence checks are eligible to be lead applicants for this call. The LMIC-based organisation must be able to receive and manage funds from UKRI via a grant and must ensure their application complies with local regulations and has the necessary local approvals.

Objetivo: The purpose of this Funding Opportunity Announcement (FOA) is to provide an expedited funding mechanism for research on Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) and Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19). NIAID is issuing this FOA in response to the declared public health emergency issued by the Secretary, HHS, for 2019 Novel Coronavirus.

Líneas temáticas:

- Studies to understand critical aspects of viral infection, replication and pathogenesis
- Studies to understand critical aspects of viral transmission
- Identification and characterization of the onset and duration of immunity in healthy and at-risk populations
- Development of SARS-CoV-2-specific or broadly protective coronavirus vaccine candidates

Requisitos:

- Program Directors/Principal Investigators (PD(s)/PI(s))
- All PD(s)/PI(s) must have an eRA Commons account. PD(s)/PI(s) should work with their organizational officials to either create a new account or to affiliate their existing account with the applicant organization in eRA Commons. If the PD/PI is also the organizational Signing Official, they must have two distinct eRA Commons accounts, one for each role. Obtaining an eRA Commons account can take up to 2 weeks.

Objetivo: This GCRF/Newton Fund call focuses upon mitigating both short and longer-term impacts of COVID-19 on health, wellbeing, community cohesion, and economic prosperity. In the health sphere, mental health, health economics, and malnutrition are all impacted by the virus and require interdisciplinary research.

Líneas temáticas:

- New research or innovation with a clear pathway to impact on policy or practice that has the potential (within the period of the award) to deliver a significant contribution to the understanding of, response to, and recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic in a developing country context.
Supports the manufacture and/or wide scale adoption of an intervention with significant potential for impact in developing countries.
- Gathers critical data and resources quickly for future research use.

Requisitos:

This call will cover 100% fEC costs for Principal and Co-Investigators from LMICs. This applies to Investigators from Low and Middle Income Countries identified on the OECD DAC list of ODA recipients.
