Student wellness
The University is committed to creating a more equitable and safe environment by working with our most vulnerable community members to overcome barriers to social and economic inclusion. The University provides a range of wellness programs to students from low socioeconomic status, who account for 89 percent of the campus community. These programs are designed to provide low-income students with an environment conducive to learning and working by promoting an atmosphere of respect, inclusion and sense of belonging.
The University community benefits from a wide variety of services and programs including sports, human development, healthcare, scholarships, grants, tuition waiver, student loans, feeding, transportation and copy services. This initiative is made possible by the support of both the public and the private sector.
