Strategic Focus

The group aims to generate knowledge on theoretical and practical problems related to artistic, cultural, communicative, political, educational, social, and spatial processes that have impacted the configuration and reconfiguration of regional development dynamics. Thus, the group seeks to identify, visualize, and communicate alternative solutions for problems and conflicts affecting the achievement of peace, equity, and social justice.

Key Research Findings

With the Vivencias y Narrativas (Experiences and Narratives) project, we explored how violent expressions of armed conflict affected some artistic and cultural creation processes in the region of Urabá, a topic that had not been studied thoroughly before.
The Paz territorial y coproducción de conocimiento (Territorial peace and co-production of knowledge) project makes significant contributions to the conceptual and methodological development of a territorial approach to building peace.
