Incoming mobility application

In this section, you will find information about how to apply to a program in our School. The application process must be started at least three months and up to six months in advance. The respective application form must be completed and can be downloaded by clicking on the links below.

After uploading the documentation, the application goes under review, which can take approximately one month to get all the approvals. Individual interviews are conducted in order to guide the process and define a viable exchange plan.

Clinical rotation

In this section, you will find the necessary manuals and workflows to carry out a mobility process at School of Medicine of Universidad de Antioquia.

After reviewing the information attached below and gathering all the necessary documentation, you must access here and fill in the online clinical rotation application form. Finally, attach all the requested information in a single PDF.

Note: applications that do not comply with the instructions will not be taken into account. It is also clarified that this form does not book a place; it is only to carry out the application.

Research Internship

Research internship is a form of academic mobility in which a researcher, student, or faculty member from a foreign institution participates in scientific activities at Universidad de Antioquia or one of its research centers.

Researchers from institutions outside Colombia who are interested in a research internship at Universidad de Antioquia must gather the required documentation and take it to the Institute of Medical Research. Click on flowchart and internship application process for further information.

It is important to consider the following remarks:

  • Foreigners interested in visiting Colombia for academic reasons must take into account the provisions regarding visa and entry and stay permit (PIP, by its Spanish acronym).
  • This type of mobility does not entail enrollment fees. However, expenses related to lodging, maintenance, transportation, visa, research, and other living expenses are the responsibility of the visiting researcher.

Mobility report

In the next section, you will find the required procedures for reporting the arrival of foreign or domestic visitors to the School.

Domestic visitors

The constant updating of mobility indicators is a fundamental task for the School of Medicine and Universidad de Antioquia in order to carry out their processes of self-assessment and high quality accreditation. Besides, those indicators are very important items of the management performed.

You will find here the necessary forms to report the arrival of national visitors who participate in activities at School in the role of student, faculty members, researcher, manager, or administrative.

Foreign visitors

In accordance with corpus of legislation in force on Colombian immigration processes, it is mandatory that Universidad de Antioquia submits to Migration Colombia the report of foreign visitors who develop activities in the role of student, faculty members, researcher, manager, or administrative at academic and administrative units or research groups under a visa or an enter and stay permit.

This means that, once the foreign visitor starts activities at the University, the academic unit must report it to the Directorate of International Relations by using only one of the following ways:

1. Physical form:

Fill in the report forms of foreign students or visitors as appropriate.

Download the foreign student report form.

Download the foreign visitors report form.

Send these forms to the Directorate of International Relations along with a copy of the main page of passport and entry stamp and the invitation letter provided by the program.

2. Digital form:

Fill in this online form to report foreign visitors or students.

Send a copy of the main page of passport and entry stamp and the invitation letter provided by the program to the e-mail poyointer@udea.edu.co.

It will only be possible to report visitors to Migration Colombia after receiving the complete information.

In accordance with the provisions of Circular Rectoral 1000-001, the academic units have a maximum of three working days from the date of visitor arrival to send this report.

Applications requiring legalization of expenditures for travel allowance, fees, or transportation will continue to be processed in the Budget Department by means of the mobility registration and commitment format.

Incoming mobility assessment

In this section you will find the assessment form of mobility carried out at the School of Medicine of Universidad de Antioquia. The form was designed by using the Google Forms strategy in order to obtain an objective assessment of your mobility process in the School. This will undoubtedly serve as an input to develop improvement plans of rotations and advice provided to our visitors.
